The crews for General Roofing Systems Canada (GRS) in Edmonton recently repaired (replaced) a condominium flat roof that was a typical tar and gravel flat roof to a four ply engineered liquid rubber flat roof.
The original tar and gravel roof was removed, roof repairs were done (the roof sheathing was rotted and replaced), the parapet walls were constructed to allow for an engineered sloped insulation package for better roof drainage, and a four ply engineered liquid rubber roof was installed.
The result? An environmentally friendly, VOC free, completely seamless roof membrane, with a roof assembly that allows for proper water drainage, and no open flames, no heat welding, and no odors for the tenants of the condominium to deal with.
